I need a reminder

or I guess a note somewhere

or add blog to my schedule.

This is my second week at Vista Grande Elementary School.

I'm helping a 9-year-old boy in Mrs. Watt's class. He's autistic.

My assignment is only for 2-3 1/2 weeks, I don't remember which.

I'd like to teach 3rd or 4th grade someday, so I kinda hope that maybe this might turn into a full year assignment.

Descriptive Essay

Thursday our first final draft essay is due.

I’m almost done.

I feel that my paper is really good, the only problem is that the essay should be 750-1200 words and right now I only have about 745 words.

Life sucks

I hate my life. I hate my mom. I hate my sister.

I hate my teacher.

I hate myself.

I wish I could just do whatever I want to do and have everybody else leave me alone.

you can do what you want, you just have to find a way to get to that point in your life.

oooo life

I worked at Jean Farb Middle School today and in my time substituting for Special Ed Aids, this is the first time I've really wanted to come back. I'll explain more later.

I worked away more on my site and it's almost the way I want it. I just have to figure out why the color changing won't work.

CSS

Lately at my website I've been doing some playing around with CSS.

I don't quite understand positioning between padding and margins yet.

Grocery Shopping

This activity seems to help me have something to eat.

When I have to find something to eat, I don’t really want to bother with eating.

So, I made a list and went to Albertsons today.

  • Cereal: Honey Nut Cheerios and Oat Bran
  • apple sauce
  • wheat bagels
  • cream cheese
  • salad
  • carrots and celery(ready to eat)
  • rice cakes
  • 32 oz. of chocolate Nesquik

I have been sooooo busy.

The past week I was subbing at Junipero Serra Highschool as a Special Education Assistant. I resigned from the position Friday afternoon. The school would like me to work longer hours and with my English class, I'm just not up to that.

I have a LitterMaid litter box for my cats. Curious uses it...except that he doesn't get all the way in and so he ends up urinating on the receptical part of the litter box. Frisky is too scared and has urinated on my bed twice, and a few other places as well.

With the work for my English Composition class, working for the highschool, and having to clean up after Frisky's and Curious' messes, I feel exhausted.

Curious and a bit of Frisky

Curious is not your average cat.

He eats and drinks for comfort, seeks attention when he's not sleeping or lounging, and "mows" instead of meowing.

Curious cannot be bothered. If the garbage truck comes for collection, I vacuum the floors, I disrupt his sleep by petting him, or he simply wakes up from a nap: he needs to eat.

You can start a conversation with Curious, just say "Meow". Look at him in the face and wait a few minutes, then he will respond with his "mow" that sound like "ow" with an M. Sometimes he'll snap at you and instead of a "mow" he says "ma", which is close to "mat" just without the T.

I'm a little out of order, but Curious mostly seeks attention from me. We brought home Curious and Frisky when my sister and I were about 6 and 9, respectively. Curious was my sister Nancy's cat and Frisky was my cat. Now that Nancy is away at UC Davis, Curious sees me as his mom. If I stay downstairs he doesn't like it. We have a dog, Roxy, downstairs. We, my family, haven't been able to get the three of them to coexist. So, Curious and Frisky stay upstairs, mostly in my bedroom. We keep a baby gate at the top of the stairs to prevent Curious from going down. One day I almost died when I spotted Curious laying on the cool tiles downstairs. Frisky would never wander downstairs, he is a bit scared. Frisky only trusts me. Frisky only ventures out of my bedroom, IF he feels that the "coast is clear" and then he slowly creeps past the staircase and if so inclined saunters over to the sliding glass doors in the master bedroom. They both like to look outside, however, there's only a peachy-cream stucco wall to see.

Litter Solutions?

Well, if you've been reading, you know that I have two cute cats.

However, having a cat invariably means that there is a litter box somewhere.

But I have little bits of cat litter all over my room: outside the litter box, outside the bathroom doorway, in front of the closet, on the cat scratchpost/stand, on the window-seat, and even in my bed--I'm not very good about constantly making my bed up. I wipe the sheets clear of any pieces before I settle into my bed.

Enough with my rambling though, how can I keep these bits of cat litter inside the bathroom, at least?

My mom uses some sort of robo-litter box...It works quite well.

its just expensive to buy :(

If you don't want to try that, you could use that Pine kitty litter...I can't remember the name, but its like Pine Fresh or something, and its not a grainy litter, its like little logs.

The Fourth Class

I just got out of class.

The pace seems to be going very slow. One student in class doesn’t even have his text book yet.

Next week will begin getting into writing outlines for our first essay. We can choose to write a narrative or descriptive essay. I have about 4 or 5 ideas for writing either style essay. Although, my top idea for the essay is My Cat, Curious: descriptive essay or How I started 4th Prayers and Squares:http://www.prayerquilt.org chapter

The San Diego County School District starts school next week on the 6th after Labor Day. I’m trying to decide if I should hold off on taking a sub assignment for two weeks, or if I can handle the full force of my English class and working. Well, unlike a typical student at any college for that matter, I am just taking one course: English 120 Advanced Reading and Composition.

We really haven’t handed anything in to be graded, yet. But, I have all my home works finished, well except for the handouts we got today. I wish feelings could be bottled up to be felt later. Yay! Go me!!
